This workshop will lead to a main stage performance for participants at Improv Fest Ireland. Registered Troupe members can apply using your artist code. If you are not in a registered troupe, you can still apply to take the workshop! Please send an email to [email protected] confirming your improv experience. We will get back to you with a booking code. The performance will take place on 4 December at 18:30.
Based on the festival theme, we will create a brand new format.
The strengths and preferences of the group will be implemented into a new long-form which will be developed and rehearsed during this workshop, which is half class, half rehearsal.
The workshop will combine ensemble building, literal and abstract interpretations (via group 'play-storming') of what it means to open a door as a performer, and a series of directed theatre games and exercises to help devise a new form.
The newly formed international ensemble will perform at the festival that week.
