Double Bill Of Improv

serious kicks 🇺🇸

Serious Kicks drops you into a smoky, imaginary North Beach, San Francisco coffeehouse where you are the hep cats in the audience.

From a single audience suggestion, the performers spin fully improvised Beat poetry.

Those fresh poems spark spontaneous scenes that bring their rhythms, images, and emotions to life. Scenes inspire new poems, poems spark new scenes, and the night swings forward like a jazz riff.

Inspired by the rebellious spirit of Beat legends like Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac, and Diane di Prima, Serious Kicks is long-form improv with a beatnik soul—part poetry jam, part theatrical happening.
