About Us
ImprompTwo & Co is unapologetically theatrical improvisation—emotionally rich, intimate, and sharply funny. Known for performances that balance vulnerability with precision, this ensemble creates fully realized stories where silence speaks as loudly as dialogue, and humor grows organically from deeply grounded character relationships.
Founded by Kathy and Joe Rinaldi, ImprompTwo has spent the past seven years captivating audiences at festivals across Europe and North America, most recently in Oslo, Liverpool, Lisbon, and Nottingham, earning standing ovations for their distinctive style and chemistry-driven storytelling. Their work blends the rigor of scripted theatre with the immediacy of longform improv, resulting in performances that feel both spontaneous and meticulously crafted.
In January 2026, the company expands into ImprompTwo & Co, welcoming seven highly experienced improvisers with extensive backgrounds in theatre, improv, and narrative performance. Each member brings a unique artistic voice while working within ImprompTwo’s signature aesthetic—passion-led play, purposeful banter, and a fearless embrace of emotional truth.

Bringing together a mixture of methods and skills from across the world, this show will be quite different from anything else at this years Festival. We may ask for audience participation and there will be laughs and maybe some tears too.

Big characters. Big secrets. One shocking last word. THE LAST WORD is a fully improvised murder mystery. Using audience suggestions and secretly assigned roles, the cast creates a complete whodunnit in real time. Interrogations, flashbacks, and suspect interactions build toward a final reveal no one will see coming…not even the cast!
About Us
Devised by Derbáil Kinsella, a long-form improviser, sketch and character comedian, and storyteller with training from The Second City Conservatory, Bad Dog Theatre Company, UCB, Improv Theatre Sydney, and Keith Johnstone. She has created and toured original sketch, improv, and storytelling shows, and specialise in physical storytelling, genre-based, character-driven work with strong narrative structure.
Derbáil has performed internationally in hit improv and sketch shows including Party Hard Hard Party with Rob Norman and Adam Cawley (The Backline Podcast), at SketchFest Toronto, and as a house ensemble member at The Second City and Improv Theatre Sydney. She is the founder of the New Improv Theatre and has extensive experience coaching, directing, and running improv and character workshops in Ireland and internationally.
