For millennia people have shared fables around campfires, casting uncanny shadows on cave walls. There’s even a story about it. The Allegory of the Cave is an exciting new improvised shadow theatre show. Featuring big ideas, big characters and big adventures.

About Us

All four of us are experienced improvisers, performing with different groups in London as well as international improv festivals. Between us we have over to forty years experience of making things up.

Comediasians are the UK's premier pan-Asian improv group, and we're on a mission to bring laughs from the diasporASIA to the UK comedy scene. We do a playful mix of short and long form improv and host a monthly night of Asian comedy in London.

About Us

We formed in 2019 united in our principal to bring more Asian diversity onto the improv stage. We have played all over the United Kingdom and seek to showcase our culture, heritage and delight with all audiences everywhere. We run regular nights in London where we host stand ups from Asia and jam with with everyone to promote inclusivity and diversity.

An improvised musical in the style of Stephen Sondheim and Jason Robert Brown
Katy Schutte, Lloydie James Lloyd and Sam Marshall perform a brand new musical inspired by Stephen Sondheim and Jason Robert Brown.

The characters, location, music, lyrics and story are created in the moment and inspired by a single audience suggestion. This is a funny, heartfelt, queer-leaning show about the everyday.

About Us

Lloydie is the co-founder and co-artistic director of the Robin Hood International Improv Festival, runs the improv program for the Nottingham Playhouse theatre, performs and teaches around the world and is the host of The Improv Chronicle Podcast.


Katy Schutte is an author and critically acclaimed performer. Katy is a Funny Women finalist and both nominee and winner of the Brighton Festival Fringe Best Comedy Show award. She regularly tours around the US and Europe as a performer and trainer at dozens of festivals.


Sam Marshall is the musical director for Rhymes Against Humanity, co-runs Hideout Improv in Nottingham, founded the fantasy improv show Four Far Away and has been the musical director on a national radio comedy show in the UK.
