Bringing together a mixture of methods and skills from across the world, this show will be quite different from anything else at this years Festival. We may ask for audience participation and there will be laughs and maybe some tears too.

Last Call, a serio-comic, monoscene set in a bar named by the audience. Diana and Simone explore a moment in the life of a relationship, exploring the humor of the human condition and elevating the everyday events that feel universal.

About Us

Diana Brown and Simone Ellul have both performed extensively at theatre and improv festivals.

Diana (She/Her) performs nationally throughout America at festivals and as a guest artist with theaters. And has performed internationally at Improv Fest Ireland, Gather Spring Retreat, Impro Amsterdam, Liverpool Improv Festival and Vancouver Improv Festival. In the San Francisco Bay Area, Diana performs regularly at Leela Theatre, Made-up Theatre, All Out Comedy Theatre, as a guest artist with BATS and Berkeley Repertory Theatre’s School of Theatre. In addition to Last Call, she performs with the improv duos Bingewatch and Fleeting Reminiscence, the trio POPTOP, the improvised Shakespeare trio Gamesome Frolic, the Twilight Zone Inspired ensemble But of Mind..., and the online troupe Close Distance. Diana leads the improv program at Berkeley Repertory Theatre's School of Theatre, the improvised Shakespeare program at All Out Comedy, is a member of faculty with Leela Theatre - San Francisco, and a guest teaching artist with BATS Improv.

Simone (She/Her) is a theatre practitioner from Malta with experience in acting, directing and scriptwriting. She has an MFA in Staging Shakespeare from the University of Exeter and a strong background in scripted theatre. She is a member of the improv troupes Playing Dead Theatre and Sabir, the online troupe Close Distance and is one half of the duos Invisible Women and Pairentheses. She was a founding member of the Brussels-based troupe The Ghost Sheep. She has taught at a number of festivals and collaborates occasionally with the improv school Impro Brussels. She organises Improvizza!, Malta's first ever improv festival. She is also a certified intimacy director and coordinator, working on various projects for stage and screen. Exploring ways of making intimacy safe for improvisers has led her to develop workshops that allow improvisers to dig deeper in their scenes and express intimacy naturally and safely.

About Us

Lee is an award-winning writer, director, producer and performer across film, theatre and digital media. His accomplishments range from lauded TV pilots and feature films, including winning Best Feature Film at the American Horror Film Festival, to multiple sold-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe, Brighton Fringe and Leicester Square Theatre atop a multi-million viewership across online projects.

As an improviser he has taught and performed in the UK, Europe, Asia and United States for over a decade.

He was the co-creator of CSI: Crime Scene Improvisation (“A Spectacular must see” - ☆☆☆☆☆ Bunbury Magazine) and Your Flaws: The Musical ("Spontaneous Joy" ☆☆☆☆1/2 The Reviews Hub) as well the co-director of Multiverse Musical (“...musically dynamic ... clever wordplay – especially impressive" ☆☆☆☆ - Everything Theatre) and tours performing his award-nominated freestyle rap show Slice of Rhyme ("Simply the Best" Gothenburg Fringe.) In 2023 he collected the prize for Best Musical/Improv Show at the Leicester Comedy Festival and in 2024 received the Comedy Award at the Colchester Fringe.

Emma Wessleus is a Singer, Improviser, Comedian and a former cast member of easylaughs, Magicked! & Acaprov amongst others. She has studied Opera at Stockholm Operastudios, Classical Singing at Amsterdam Conservatory and Musical Theatre at Associated studios in London. She's an experienced Improviser and comedian and currently a proud member of Multiverse and a co-founder of the improvised scandi crime drama Mordsaga. She can be heard performing with the Dutch National Chamber Choir.
